About Us

My photo
We are a family of 5 that moved from California to Arizona about 8 years ago. We love it here! We love to watch movies, enjoy the great outdoors when it's not blazing hot, play sports, hike, ride bikes and spend time together! Life is awesome and we wish the same to all of you!

Summer Fun

We have not updated our blog in 2 weeks, oops sorry about that! For all of you who have been asking, here you go! Enjoy!

Aislinn has discovered the kitty cats. She adores our Balinese "Sunny". Sunny is a cuddler and as long as you are willing to pet her, she will loyally stay by your side. But every cat has it's limits. She endured a few minutes of Aislinn's petting/pulling and decided that she could do without! Aislinn thought it was hysterical and spent several minutes trying to figure out how to get the cat into her mouth!

We have rediscovered an old favorite game of the family, Skip-Bo. With the weather hitting triple digits outside we try to find fun things to do indoors. We have been playing lots and lots of games. Conlan, cousin Caydon and even Aislinn are getting in on some skip-bo action below.

There are limits when it comes to spending time indoors. So we got a slip n' slide (or as Dane Cook puts it a slip n' bleed). Even mom and dad got in on the action. It brought back old childhood memories and created new ones for Con and Aisy. You can see the joy written all over Conlan's face. We had so much fun, but mom and dad were really sore the next day!

Even Aisy didn't mind the cool water. It was in the mid 100's on this day! Conlan would come ripping down the slide and bump into Aislinn at the end. She would crack up everytime. Things are so funny when you are a baby! She helps us to remember that life really is not meant to be so serious!

Here Bryan was bowling for Conlan. We realized that when you go too fast you can fly off the slipper into the mud. Grass cuts are not very comfortable. Needless to say there was a lot of laughing going on, on this day from all of the silliness! We love our kids! They help us to become childlike once again!

We went to Dave and Busters to watch game 6 of the Hockey finals. Go Penguins! The last game should be pretty exciting! Aislinn has been teething like crazy. Mom gave her the cup to chew on and she loved it! It was cold and something she could bite on.

We also found some NASCAR race cars and couldn't pass it up! Con and Daddy against Mommy! After the boys took out mom's car they won. . .cheaters!

Bricks

Bryan has been teasing Conlan for the last year or so about putting a brick on his head to stop him from growing. The other day we were out for a walk around the neighborhood. Conlan stopped in front of a neighbor's yard and started digging at something. When we stopped to look, we noticed they had a nice decorative border of bricks. "Con what ya doin?" "I'm digging up the brick so I can give it to Dad to put on my head!" How soon we all forget that at this age the things we say are taken literally! Absolutely priceless!

Tosies and Kisses

Over the last week or so Aisy has discovered her feet. She now holds onto them with a death grip like they are going to walk away without her. It is so cute! She is our drooling princess and you can see the printout on her face when she looks at them "Now how am I going to get these into my mouth?"

Mommy has been covering her in kisses (she is too irresistable). She has figured out how to make the kissing sound. She gets her upper lip over the bottom lip and kisses back when being kissed. A few days ago everyone was surprised to discover her leaning in to give Mom a big, wet, slobbery kiss. Of course Mommy was in heaven!

Happy Anniversary

Where does the time go? I cannot believe that 8 years ago today we were all dolled up and committing our lives to one another! What a ride it has been. I am so thankful for you Bryan. You truly are such a wonderful spouse, awesome daddy and an amazing person. I am looking forward to making our dreams come true together! Happy Anniversary!

Then. . .

And now . . .

May the next 8 (and beyond) be all we could hope for and more! I love you, my anam cara!

My Buddy Grover

Conlan has a Grover stuffed animal from when he was a baby. In an effort to make Aislinn laugh Mom grabbed him and started doing her Grover impression. For those of you that have seen it remember near, far? So in mom's best Grover monster voice she would say "Near" and bring Grover really close and then say "Far" and bring him away from her. Aisy would giggle everytime he came close and had us all laughing. Since that day last week she will hold onto Grover and wants to have him close. Last night when she fell asleep she was all snuggled in with him. We thought it was so cute that we had to share some pictures! Enjoy!

Aisy's First Playdate

Last night our friend Sophia (whom Bryan and Jenna used to work with at Belkin and also moved from California and bought a house down the street from us) came for a visit with her daughter. Jenna and Sophia had the same due date and the girls were born one day apart from each other. It was so cute to watch little Sarah and Aislinn together. They were both so curious about each other and we know the two are going to be best buds in the years to come!
