About Us

My photo
We are a family of 5 that moved from California to Arizona about 8 years ago. We love it here! We love to watch movies, enjoy the great outdoors when it's not blazing hot, play sports, hike, ride bikes and spend time together! Life is awesome and we wish the same to all of you!

A Week In Review. . .

Oops, where did this week go? It flew by in the blink of an eye. Here is a review!

Father's day was a lot of fun, but we didn't get many pictures. We had a day out and about and celebrated Bryan and the awesome Dad that he is!

Aislinn and her monkey toes. She loves to move the monkey around with her little piggies.

We had some friends over to make Father's Day crafts and decorated cupcakes. Yummy!

Here is the book Con made for Dad.

Mommy got crafty too! One of our friends is having a baby soon, so we made her a diaper cake. It was so fun to make and turned out super cute. Just had to share!

Bryan and Conlan got tickets to go to a Diamondbacks game. The Rangers won 9 to 8 and the game went into 12 innings. A very long game, but they got some good guy bonding time in!

We started running again and are officially back. We are debating which 1/2 marathon we will do first. We are committing to the one in January for sure. This picturewas taken right after the run. Such a cute moment. Con was kissing Aisy's toes and she loved it. You can't see Mom & Dad laying dead in the background. We are so proud of Con, he made it 3 miles on his bike. . .without complaints!

Our Little Fairy

There are those few little outfits that are must haves! This was one of them. Little miss Aislinn looked like an elemental, minus the pointy ears. While we were out and about we had numerous people stop us and tell us how she looked just like a pixie, elf or fairy.

Mom sang to her the matchmaker song from "Fiddler on the Roof". If you have seen the movie you will understand. Just had to share some pictures, cause it was too cute to pass up!

Let There Be Rice

The doctor said Aislinn could start rice cereal at 5 months, so we gave it a go. It was pretty funny watching all of the faces she made. She is not a big fan yet, but we know the other food delights are just around the corner.

Before we started she was so happy

Love that palm tree on the head

Her first bite

I am over it Mom, get me out of here

All done. Apparently fingers taste better than that other stuff

Making Rain In Arizona

We try to go and visit Gaga Nanny and Caydon at least once a week. When we went over on Friday she had a craft for the kids. We made rain sticks. With some paper towel rolls, rice, foil and creativity we made rain. The kids don't have long attention spans, so this particular craft was quick and easy!

Elmo is Such a Supportive Guy

Little Aisy is a little over 5 months now and she is sitting up. . . almost. Let's just say we had to give her Elmo for some motivation and support. Apparantly he tastes really good too! We swear by those bumbo seats! Wish we'd had one when Con was a baby. Her back muscles are super strong and she'll sitting on her own in no time!

Summer Fun

We have not updated our blog in 2 weeks, oops sorry about that! For all of you who have been asking, here you go! Enjoy!

Aislinn has discovered the kitty cats. She adores our Balinese "Sunny". Sunny is a cuddler and as long as you are willing to pet her, she will loyally stay by your side. But every cat has it's limits. She endured a few minutes of Aislinn's petting/pulling and decided that she could do without! Aislinn thought it was hysterical and spent several minutes trying to figure out how to get the cat into her mouth!

We have rediscovered an old favorite game of the family, Skip-Bo. With the weather hitting triple digits outside we try to find fun things to do indoors. We have been playing lots and lots of games. Conlan, cousin Caydon and even Aislinn are getting in on some skip-bo action below.

There are limits when it comes to spending time indoors. So we got a slip n' slide (or as Dane Cook puts it a slip n' bleed). Even mom and dad got in on the action. It brought back old childhood memories and created new ones for Con and Aisy. You can see the joy written all over Conlan's face. We had so much fun, but mom and dad were really sore the next day!

Even Aisy didn't mind the cool water. It was in the mid 100's on this day! Conlan would come ripping down the slide and bump into Aislinn at the end. She would crack up everytime. Things are so funny when you are a baby! She helps us to remember that life really is not meant to be so serious!

Here Bryan was bowling for Conlan. We realized that when you go too fast you can fly off the slipper into the mud. Grass cuts are not very comfortable. Needless to say there was a lot of laughing going on, on this day from all of the silliness! We love our kids! They help us to become childlike once again!

We went to Dave and Busters to watch game 6 of the Hockey finals. Go Penguins! The last game should be pretty exciting! Aislinn has been teething like crazy. Mom gave her the cup to chew on and she loved it! It was cold and something she could bite on.

We also found some NASCAR race cars and couldn't pass it up! Con and Daddy against Mommy! After the boys took out mom's car they won. . .cheaters!
