About Us

My photo
We are a family of 5 that moved from California to Arizona about 8 years ago. We love it here! We love to watch movies, enjoy the great outdoors when it's not blazing hot, play sports, hike, ride bikes and spend time together! Life is awesome and we wish the same to all of you!

Our Coy Boy

My friend Yvonne also captured some adorable moments of our little Con. If anything we've realized he's no longer our little baby, but our handsome little man! Mom is having some difficulties with that, we are sure the pregnancy hormones don't help. He has grown up so much in the last year and we are so proud of him!

Belly Pictures For Pumpkin

I have had a few of you ask me about belly pictures. My friend Yvonne is starting up her photography business and graciously offered to do the pictures for me. She has an amazing eye and captured some wonderful moments! Thank you Yvonne, they are perfect! Please enjoy them as much as we do!

Christmas 2008

We had an awesome day hanging with everyone from the Edwards gang (some of Jenna's family). We started our morning off with our traditional cinnamon rolls (yum) and opening the stocking goodies from Santa. Santa brought Conlan a bike! Finally, he has been waiting and waiting! After our morning at the McCoy household we headed to Grandma Nanny's house. Because Gaga lives so close to us, we let Conlan ride his bike over there. What a trooper he did it in the rain, such dedication. We let the kids open their presents and then the adults did our stocking stuffer exchange. And of course every year we try to find the worst Christmas movie and we think that we found the winner this year! It was "The Dangerous Christmas of Little Red Riding Hood" and oh my, it was awful. We would not suggest putting yourself through the torture. But it is kind of a fun tradition and when you are in a sarcastic, crazy family it helps add to the fun! All in all it was a mellow holiday and we had fun just being together and relaxing! We hope all of you had a very merry Xmas too!

Down the street and around the corner to Grandmother's house we go!

The traditional paper fight. It wouldn't be Christmas without it!

You look gorgeous darling! Bree and Caydon sporting her Christmas bonnet!

Jenna's neice, Sienna, made her a beautiful pair of earrings. Bryan felt left out, so we decided to share them!

Conlan and Daddy playing air hockey! This one was a hit and even the adults were fighting to get in on the action.

Toothless Tristan! What a lucky guy, a visit from Santa and the Tooth Fairy in one day!

Toga, toga, toga! Go uncle bear that's the way to get into the spirit!

Christmas Eve 2008

This year Jenna's sisters, brother, nieces and nephew came out from California to join the Arizona gang! It was spent in the usual way, everyone finishing up last minute shopping and wrapping. We went over to Jenna's Moms house to celebrate. In the evening we all ordered pizza (one of the Edwards traditions since they were kids). Mom Roxanne made the traditional Christmas bread (another tradition since Jenna was a little baby), Christmas caroling with Bryan on guitar and this year the $2.00 gift exchange. You think $10 is hard, try $2. Believe it or not we had so much fun shopping at the 99 cent store for our gifts that we think this one is going to stick! You really have to get creative and it was hilarious to see what everyone brought! After that we came home and put out cookies for Santa, read the "Night Before Christmas" and got snuggled in for our long winter's nap!

Neverland Nursery

The nursery is finally done, whew! I promised some of you guys pictures when it was done, so here they are. We went with a Peter Pan theme and neutral colors. Enjoy!

The mast on the crib is a nod to John & Michael's bed in the movie! The writing on the wall says: "Second Star to the Right and Straight on Til Morning." I made the stars above the crib to be like a mobil for the baby.

I painted a small mural of Neverland above the dresser/changing table for the baby to look at. The writing on the wall says: "All it Takes is Faith and Trust." We also captured some of Tink's fairy dust!

We re-upholstered the rocker, thank you kitty cat claws! And if you look really carefully we captured Peter's shadow!

We also found Tink too! The writing says: "Do you Believe in Fairies?"

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Xmas

Over the weekend we attended a play at our local theatre. At the end of the play they had a surprise for the kids waiting outside. . . snowballs! It turned into a massive snowball fight with all of the kids and they had so much fun!

We also got to attend a holiday block party in the old neighborhood. We brought potluck dishes to share and then Santa arrived on the fire truck to deliver presents to all of the kids. Such a cute idea and it helped to spread some holiday cheer!

Pit Crew Con

We doctored up Con's car and made it into a NASCAR worthy race car! He races it around the backyard and of course has to make numerous pit stops. In this particular instance he had to do some work on the undercarriage! He has an awesome imagination and it is so much fun to watch him!

Pumpkin's Ultrasound

Here is a picture of Pumpkin's ultrasound. We thought you might like to enjoy it too! The first picture amazingly look's like Conlan. We couldn't believe it! It will be interesting to see what the baby does look like when he/she pops out! We are getting some major boy vibes!

The baby's hand is in front
of his/her face. We might
have another thumb sucker!

Thanksgiving

We got to spend some time with family and friends this last week before and during Thanksgiving. We got to spend the weekend before with Bryan's family in Palm Springs. Bryan's Mom has a traditional Pre-Thanksgiving celebration for the family. As the family grows it gets harder to hit the holidays so we celebrate the weekend before. Then it was off to spend some time with Jenna's family in LA. Here are just a few of the pictures. Unfortunately we never take the time to get big group pictures. Silly us, we will have to get better about that! We had so much fun, but there never feels like there is enough time to spend with everyone. Thanks to all of you guys for an awesome week, we had a blast!
