About Us

My photo
We are a family of 5 that moved from California to Arizona about 8 years ago. We love it here! We love to watch movies, enjoy the great outdoors when it's not blazing hot, play sports, hike, ride bikes and spend time together! Life is awesome and we wish the same to all of you!

A Deeee-licious Tea

Jenna got a bee in her bonnet and decided that it was about time to have a formal tea. The theme was "Pride and Prejudice" and it was decided upon that after the formal tea we would watch the movie and have tea-tinis (martini's infused with tea). A perfect excuse to go with a girly color scheme of pink and white, and a chance to get dressed up and decked out in hats and gloves, we were ready! The day arrived: the chairs were wrapped in toulle, tables were set with fine china and serveware, flowers arranged, placards arranged and food ready to go, the guests arrived. We were blessed to have 3 of our family members join us all the way from California! The afternoon was delightful amongst good company, yummy food and a wonderful movie! The tea-tinis were a hit! We had chocolate, vanilla and raspberry teas to go with them. Some people even got to try one of each and then the fun really began! Here are some pictures from the day, but as usual the hostess didn't get a chance to take many because she was trying to be the hostest with the mostest!

No David!!!

Before bed, we love to spend some time together reading, talking and singing. On this particular night the girls decided to "read" to us. There is a book by writer/ illustrator David Shannon that has become a family favorite. It is about the antics of David as a little boy and his getting into troublesome adentures. For some reason the McCoy children identify with David! Below is a video of Damara "reading" the story. We wanted to capture the moment because, as we have seen in another post, this time will not last!
