Cousin Jeff's Wedding

The big day arrived! It was an intimate gathering of family and a few close friends. The day was beautiful and the weather held out. I had over 400 pictures to choose from, but here are a few from the day.

Conlan surrounded by the beautiful ladies

Conlan kept Lilly busy so mom and dad could eat and circulate with the guests. He is such a great helper!

Up to mischief. Conlan and RJ were going around opening the favor boxes and eating the chocolates. For those of you that were missing your chocolates, you now know who the culprits were!

Constitution Day

This past Thursday Conlan's school celebrated Constitution Day. Mommy gets to be the room mom for his class, so we made 72 red & blue cupcakes w/ white star cutouts (forgot to take a picture, oops). We also created a game called Constitution Bingo. Just like regular bingo, but instead of spelling out the word bingo we used pictures related to the constitution. Conlan wore red, white & blue and we spiked his hair with red & blue hair gel! We had so much fun and the kids loved it. We had a bunch of pictures, but due to school policy we cannot post the other kids on our blog. You'll just have take our word on it! Happy birthday constitution!

Here are some of the flags the kids made. We are still finding glitter everywhere!

Goldfield Ghost Town

This past weekend, Labor Day, we decided to go exploring. Conlan decided he wanted to go looking for ghosts. He has been watching the show "The Othersiders". It is about 5 teenagers who go ghost hunting with all of the high tech equipment. Mom has to admit that she enjoys the show too! We decided to start with the local ghost town, Goldfield. It is a fun thing to do on a liesurely afternoon. We went searching around town, trying to coax the ghosts to get into our pictures, no luck. One of the stores we talked to a local gal who had heard lots of stories and even had a picture of the local ghost. We also found a book about local ghosts and their stories. We went to dinner and read through some of them. Conlan thought they were pretty scary. We have a feeling our ghost hunting days are over, but it was a fun afternoon!

Conlan cooling off at the water tower. It is still blazing hot out here!

One of the many reasons we love living out here. This is a view of the Superstition Mountains from Goldfield. There are a lot of legends in them thar hills surrounding the Lost Dutchman Mine.

Trying to get the ghost to come out, come out wherever you are! No luck.

It was a beautiful day!

Museum of Art

This past weekend we took a trip to the Phoenix Art Museum. After all of these years, we had never been to see it. It was Jenna's request before her schooling starts on Thursday. For those of you who don't already know, Jenna will be going back to school. She got accepted into the Academy of Art University and will be getting her degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Lucky for her that she can do it all online cause the school is located in San Francisco, California! This last weekend was the big hurrah before her nose hits the grindstone. It was a fabulous weekend hanging out with each other with a lot of laughter and fun too! Below are a few of the pictures we got during our trip!

We discovered a fantastic artist by the name of Philip C. Curtis, who turns out was a resident artist of the Phoenix area until 2000. He had a large exhibit and we all fell in love with his work.
Conlan and Aislinn even enjoyed it!

Another one of Curtis' paintings. It is very dream like and taps into surrealism and the victorian era. Love it!

This is the restaurant at the museum, for fear of looking too touristy we decided to just get a picture of the sign. One word for this place...delicioso!

After lunch we had to get all of our energy out. Nothing better than a game of tag on the lawn!

So sweet!

Aisy's 6 Month Pictures

The old saying "better late than never" certainly works for this entry. I am finally getting to put these up. I know, Aislinn is almost 8 months old. For the cute factor alone we wanted to share with all of you our little fairy princess' photo session. Enjoy!
