About Us

My photo
We are a family of 5 that moved from California to Arizona about 8 years ago. We love it here! We love to watch movies, enjoy the great outdoors when it's not blazing hot, play sports, hike, ride bikes and spend time together! Life is awesome and we wish the same to all of you!

Aisy Girl

Aislinn is really coming into her own personality lately. The 2's are here, even though we have a few months to go. She wants to be brother's shadow whenever he is home, so you can find her playing Star Wars (her and Con battle it out with the lightsabers, sound effects and all), and hockey and soccer in the backyard. They are little buddies. Here are some pictures of Aisy, enjoy!

Love those big blue eyes!

Being silly for the camera!

While Mommy works on school, Aisy likes to draw and color next to her at the table. This is one of those particularly tiring days.

Aisy girl has her own sense of fashion now too! She loves and adores ANYTHING Tinkerbell. She recently acquired some Tink jammies and will not take them off. Mommy has to bribe her so she can put them in the wash. She loves to wear shoes, even to bed and has been seen wearing brother's hats around the house too! She is so fun!

Conlan's Poem

Conlan's school has them learn a poem each month and recite it to the class. The poem is: "Happy Birthday from Your Loving Brother" by Bruce Lansky. Con says it with a bit of mischief in his eye! Enjoy!

Baby Bean at 28 Weeks

Baby Bean is 28 weeks now and the time is flying! We went to the Dr. and got some new pictures of our baby girl. She is now 2 pounds 15 ounces and counting. The technician had trouble getting full facial views of her because she likes to put her hands up by her face. She is a little doll! The pictures didn't come out as clear on the scan but they will give you the general idea. Enjoy!

Aisy's Hair Gets a Crop

Our little Aisy was in desperate need of a haircut. Mom could not get her to keep ponytails, clips or headbands in her hair. So, we decided to give her a pixie cut. She did really well for the whole cutting experience and we are happy to report that she can actually see now!

Before - our little shaggy girl.

After - looking very much like a pixie!

Back to School

And so school begins again. Our Con is now off to 1st grade. We are happy to report that there was no running out of school crying after Mom and Dad this year. We turned around to be sure we didn't have a little shadow and were pleasantly surprised to see Con playing on the playground oblivious to our presence. That's not to say that Mommy didn't shed a tear!

Our ham-bone off to his first day!

What a sweetie pie. He looks so grown up!

Back to School Celebration

We started a tradition last year of having a last hurrah before the kids go back to school. So this year the night before they started we decided to go with a movie themed party. The movies chosen were: Indiana Jones and Harry Potter. We had a blast hanging out and being goofy together. Below is a brief overview of what we did to celebrate!

Conlan as Indy

The kids did a series of games and a scavenger hunt. Here they are taking out the bad guys. Those straws were oh, so threatening!

The kids received invitations via owl to attend Hogwarts. The sorting hat welcomed them and sorted them into the different houses. Auntie Bree helped out by being the voice over the speaker phone.

Next stop was Ollivander's wand shop. With a flick of the wrist and a test run each kid found the wand destined for them.

In potions class they had the chance to choose which potion to make. The potions of choice were: Polyjuice, Love, Skele-Grow and Aging Potions. With a little baking soda, colored vinegar and imagination we were having a blast!

Conlan super focused on the right mixture for his Polyjuice Potion.

With a little help from Daddy, Aislinn made a successful Aging Potion.

Here is a bit of the bubbling potions. We all really liked the colors they created.

After a good wizarding duel, they stopped by divination class to learn to read each other's tea leaves.

And last but certainly not least, a trip into Hogsmeade to visit "The Three Broomsticks". Our young witches and wizards were in desperate need of refreshments. Brownie spiders, bat guano (whipped cream & brownie crumbs), broom sticks and wands did the trick!

And now the biggest challenge of all...school started the next day! We had a blast and look forward to our celebration next year!

Splish Splash

The summer heat is really getting to us lately. It has been hitting over 110 everyday. We have been in hibernation mode. So, we remedied that with some pool time with the cousins. Everyone (including the moms) were soaked to the bone and feeling good.

Bathing beauty Aislinn minus brother. He wouldn't let mom get his mug shot.

Kyla, ready for the dive.

Emmy with her first popsicle. She was covered head to toe and loving every moment.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Love this picture! Aislinn loves her shoes, keys and cell phone already.
